The new CEO-sponsored data programme starts with a question: what do we actually have, and what should it look like in a year? You lead the review.

Previously at Northwind

You are now leading BI architecture at Northwind. The shared revenue model (Sprint 05), the deployment checks (Sprint 07), the incident process (Sprint 08) and ADR-009 (Sprint 09) all exist, but only for the parts of the estate the BI team touches.

Why the business cares Every unmanaged copy of a model is a possible wrong number, a possible data leak and a refresh that costs capacity. The offsite will decide the data programme's budget; a vague review gets a vague budget.

What do we have?

I keep hearing we have "hundreds" of reports and nobody knows which to trust. Before the offsite I want a short, honest picture of where we are, where we should be in a year, and what it takes to get there.

One page for the leadership team, the detail behind it for Elena. Grace

I exported the tenant inventory: workspaces, semantic models, reports with 90-day views. It's messy. Don't propose deleting things you haven't checked; people get very upset about "their" report.

And please don't produce a 40-page governance framework nobody reads.

Ownership

From a compliance point of view my main concern is items with personal or financial data that have no named owner. Please flag those.
